I just recieved a new Arsenal ALR106FR and a mess of mags from a friend who passed away recently. Needless to say, this gun will never be sold! :)

Anyway, it is a 5.56mm AK, standard AK sighting, up to 800M. My question is, using 62gr ball, where would I sit the zeroing target with what rear sight setting to get a rough 250 meter (or even 300 yards! :D) zero using the sights?

I am used to ARs, but this AK stuff is a complete mystery to me! Thanks for the help! :)

You zero at 100 meters and after that you use the rear slider to adjust for distance.

The rear slider should be at the "P" or lowest setting when zeroing.

I zeroed mine at 100 yards with the sight on '1'. Pull the sight all the way back to get the battlesight zero good (man-sized target) from touching to 300 yards.

With optics I zeroed at 50 yards and basically used the AR improved battlesight zero technique. BSW
