I’m going to stick with a .256 Newton and a 6.5/06.

Probably my favorite of the 10 or so 6.5 caliber rifles I have owned. I actually preferred it over the 6.5x284 that had almost identical performance. I just wished that I wouldn't have sold it.

Done. Use the money left over to buy 3 other rifles chambered for something other than a 6.5mm, or a whole lot of ammo, tags, or training.

Won’t be perfect for everything, but those two will work fine for everything, without concession.

My previous post was in jest, but @Varminterror's post above makes perfect sense to me, albeit they wouldn't be my choice for the two. No need for 5 rifles when 2 will do.
