I was asked recently about .50 caliber dangerious game calibers and the specs of a .50 I designed and worked with a little over 10 years ago now.
I know of a bunch of .510 caliber rifles, the 500 Jeffery being one of the earliest and most "common". Lots of belted and non belted .510 wildcats using the 500 Jeffery, .510 cal. bullets. A-Square and AHR come to mind easily as well both using the .510 Jeffery bullets.
Anyone know of any .50 cal wildcat specifically deisgned to shoot the Gibbs
.505 bullets? I have heard of a .500 Van Horn Express (was a .505?) but can't find any info on it.
Links or references would be helpful.
TIA
