Just got confirmation that my heirloom Remington rolling block rifle (marked with rack# 13) is a .58 Berdan musket conversion, South Carolina guard version. Does anybody know where I might get brass for this?

You might want to consider having a gunsmith do a chamber casting, to be absolutely sure that what it's supposed to be rechambered to, it actually was, (plus that it hasn't been altered since) and what are the actual dimensions of that chamber. That will give you absolute true data and hopefully give you a clue as to what, if any, brass might be modified or found, to make into BP rounds for your piece.

Good luck to ya. Hopefully we'll see some photos of your getting to shoot a round or two.

Rocky Mountain will make any size brass but they're expensive. Track of the Wolf has different size old brass.

Thanks, everybody for the info. After doing some more research, I actually ordered some .577 snider brass from Track of the Wolf and some .58 balls. I know I will have to do some trimming. I'll post photos when I get it working.
