I thought your Varget load shot pretty well. I find Nosler bullets to be very similar to Sierra in the 30 cal can't speak for 6.5

Yeah, their Custom Competition line is reported to be almost identical to each of their Sierra Match King counterparts.I thought your Varget load shot pretty well. I find Nosler bullets to be very similar to Sierra in the 30 cal can't speak for 6.5, View attachment 1005915
Jim, the ELD over 42.0 grain H4350 grouped half an inch. The other holes were fouling shots.Still in a bit of a scatter mode but at least 42.0 will hit the same spot, im just not sure how big that will spot is gonna be.
Did you say the TGK are a hybrid ?
Yep. That’s the SPJ load. I’m rooting for it in the upcoming 200 yard test. I loaded 15 each of the 130 ELDs over 37.0 Varget, 43.4 N160, and 42.0 H4350. I’m waiting for the winner of the N555 test to complete the set to test @ 200 yds. I’ll take an average of three 5-round groups for each and make the winner the load I use to try my hand at shooting to 300 yards and beyond. I’m liking the H4350 combo’s chances!Gezz not again!
Where was I when that happened. Lol
Man that's hard to see on my stupid smartphone, but is this the one ?.

Yep.Gotta shot in the teens to be competitive.
It inspired me to make some changes to try and improve. I’m going to:Yep.
The one on the left will work, not so much the one on the right. Let one get away.

That said, we don't need to shoot that tight to shoot steel at long distance and have fun. Up close (100/200) we don't have to deal with shooting through as much conditions as we do at long distance, and we simply are not going to shoot that tight without wind flags and plenty of time to finish.
No. The point of the pic was to show that there was no serious pressure signs. The point of the chrono data table was partly to show that velocity doesn’t indicate over pressure either.View attachment 1006602Are those primers getting craters?
