My grandson and I are getting 2 new rifles. A Savage 110 Desert Tactical and a Bergara HMR 14. Mainly for long range target shooting. We have the following powders to try. Would appreciate bullet suggestions. Thanks

Varget
H4350
IMR 4350
HYBRID 100V

H4350 is what I use behind the Hornady 140gr ELD-M bullets. The sweet spot on my 24" barrel gun the 2700-2725 fps. Your near max with the H4350. Single digits SD.

I load the above combination for a friend's rifle with Horn brass and it's worked well out to 1200yds.

H4350 is THE powder for the 6.5 CM. I'd stay with bullets in the 139gr and up category. I've had good luck with 143 ELD-X bullets and picked up a box of factory 140 gr Hornady loads that shot well. Another guy who I run into at the range on a regular basis suggested the Barnes Match Burners in 140 gr. They are a bit cheaper, but I've shot them out to 200 yards with the same powder charge I'm using with the 143's and accuracy is comparable. Lots of folks like the Lapua Scenar 139 too.

My brother and his son-in-law don't reload and have been buying these locally for $11-$13/box. I have no idea what the BC is, but it probably isn't great. But for cheap ammo they shoot. I watched his SIL put 3 of these rounds into a 4" group at 600 yards a couple of months ago. To be honest I can't load them this cheap. I bought a couple of boxes. In my rifles my handloads are more accurate, but not by much.
