hey guys, I recently made a post about reforming 6mm creedmoor brass to 6xc. well heres another. I have a ton of hornady 6.5 creedmoor brass laying around so I decided to reform them to 6x47 lapua, which is made from 6.5x47 lapua brass and is again, expensive! i removed the spindle from my FL sizer and made the press cam over slightly to get the shoulder where it needs to be. works like a charm and is fairly straight forward. lube the brass just enough to make it slippery and run it through the die. then, I trimmed the necks to length, and neck turned with my k&m turner since there was definitely a donut on the lower neck from pushing the shoulder back as far as it moved. cleaned the up in my f.a.r.t. to get them all nice and shiny. great way to get brass that's useful from unused brass. and cheap to boot!
