Fellow shooting enthusiasts,
I am working in some new reloads and I see a potential issue with the case length. Does anyone have the 6.5mmBR precise case dimensions?
This is the popular wildcat made from the 6mmBR norma brass not the old 6.5BR Remington.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

BR normal lapua anyone?

The chamber and case specs were found and up to date.

But I have one question for those shooting this or the 30BR.

There are some bullets that sit too tight and it seems the neck is a bit thicker in the neck/shoulder areas after seating which is understandable
after necking up any case but may be too much with this specific bullet although everything seems to be within the tolerances of the reamer prints.

The loads are doing great, no pressure but with Speer bullets I always get a sticky bolt going in and after firing. Even going in I feel just a tad
resistance after just seating those bullets.

I am not going to use more speer anyway but just out of curiosity I want to get to the root cause. I am not sure this is the result of necking up with the Redding 6.5BR dies or the actual sinclair mandrel would help. I cannot turn the necks that far so next thing I am thinking is to ream inside the case
after re-sizing. A

Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

The actual with is .294 vs .288 at the neck so that is why I cannot figure out.

It is actually .294 and .293 from the shoulder to the tip vs .288 at the neck above.
Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks.

Yes Thanks. That is a great site in deed. The issue here this is a neck up of the 6mm so I cannot go by the 6mm alone. Most likely people shooting the alternatives are going to be able to provide some input.
But that is a great source. Thanks for sharing.
