Where can I find the cheapest? Is it cheaper to buy standard .223/5.56 mags and use the 6.8 followers? If I do this will I have to change the spring as well?

Thanks,

-Ed

I got mine @ 44mag.com. I don't know about the spring. Seems like mine were right around $25

If you want your rifle to actually function, you need to use 6.8SPC magazines. You can't "convert" a 5.56mm magazine to 6.8SPC and expect to load more than 5 or 6 rounds in it and even then reliable feeding is out of the question.

The cheapest magazines that will actually work on a consistant basis are from C Products

Most agree that the most relaible 6.8SPC magazines are the 2nd generation PRIs

Agreed.

I have a couple dozen C Products 6.8SPC mags, and they have been 100% for me. PRI's are reputed to be held to a higher QA standard, but I've not yet seen a need to spend the extra $$$.
