My 686 ejector rod was feeling kind of rough, and even starting to not reset fully after ejecting empties. I just noticed it starting to do this the other day, so I thought about it for a day or two before I took any action...here was my solution:
Removed the cylinder and crane and cleaned all of the parts thoroughly, then I took the extractor assembly and center pin and ran an ultra fine polishing stone up and down the sides to smooth up the sides slick..less being more was my motto here and an ever so gentle touch...I also used the stone to slick the key lock on the extractor assembly...and man oh man, my extractor now is as slick as owl snot !
Anybody else ever had this type issue with their wheel gun and used this method to cure it ?
If so, please give me some insight.
