I suppose there would be more case capacity with the TCU but how much that translates into the field would be hard to tell. I have never shot the 6 mm TCU but when I shot IHMSA I shot several thousand rounds of the 7 mm TCU and it is one good shooting round.
I know that my 6x47 has approx. 4% more capacity than a 223 case of the same brand and my 6TCU was on a par with it. I still shoot the 6x47 because it is easier on brass, sold the 6TCU.

Years ago I picked up a Martini that was in 7mm TCU. It's been sitting at my dealer's place for about 10 years waiting for him to rebarrel it back to .223. I believe I'll relieve him of his burden the next time I pass through his shop. I had been thinking of doing that anyhow; your post just pushed me over the edge.
