7.5x53.5 Swiss

Does anyone load for this? I’ve read you can duplicate 30-40 krag loads. I’ve also read you can simply trim 7.5x55 brass to 53.5.

I’d like to hear your methods and load data if you’re willing.

Not I, for any pre type/11 models, but trimming may not be necessary. A chamber cast can confirm yes or no. I've been loading for the 11 and 31 series since 1970 something. Work up with starting loads. Don't pick a top load to start with it. Do you use a chrono? Visit SwissRifles.com

In terms of a good, safe Krag load to copy: Lyman 311284 GC 23 grs IMR4227 R-P brass, WLR primer at 1750 FPS from a 22” Krag sporter.

Robinson Cartridge has headstamped 7.5x53.5 brass, but at $5 a pop!

Yeah I use a chrono. I’ve been reloading 7.5x55 for a while. Just never x53.5
