Ok let me start of by saying I usually don't post on forums as I have found that just about every question I could ask has already been answered somewhere on the internet. After searching for about 4 hours tonight though I couldn't find this one so here we go. No doubt many of you will see this and think "great another person asking if they can shoot .327 mag out of a nagant", but I kind of want to turn that around. I have the opportunity to buy an SP101 in .327 but with the price of ammo I am hesitant. Then it struck me that a 7.62×38R case is close(ish) to .327 so my big question is, can a 7.62×38R case be trimmed and sized to be used for .327? I ask because I have quite a lot of brass laying around (I can never bring myself to throw it away even if I don't plan on reloading it) or is this a fools errand?
