7.62x39 RAR

Anyone else loving theirs? How about hand loading for it? I topped mine with a leupold vx freedom 3-9x40. I have some speer gold dots, 123 gr and plan to try some loads for deer this year using cfe blk and 1680. New starline brass and cci 200 primers. I feel like the gold dots should retain their weight a little better than the sst hornadys, although they do perform well, I've had a few at close range with no pass throughs. I guess they're exploding inside, all drt at least.

The Gold Dots are exploding??? I don't own a RAR in x39 I do own a AR-15 carbine and a AR pistol. I LOVE them and I'm your rifle is the same. Both my guns like 28gr of CFE BLK and any 123 grain bullet I shoot. I haven't shot any of the Gold Dots yet but I have had excellent results with the Factory Federal Fusions and they are essentially the exact same bullet.

My RAR loves the Gold dots with CFE BLK as do my AR 15's chambered in x39 and my AR pistol. You are on the right track. A1680 is my second choice.

I deer hunted last year with a 7.62x39 AR 15 loaded with 125 gr nosler accubonds and CFE BLK. 2600 fps from a 16 inch barrel and cloverleaf groups.

Two of the last three Deer I've shot were with my CZ 527 in 7.62x39 using the 123 gr. Hornady loads, one dropped in her tracks and the other managed to make it 30 yards into the edge of some woods. Both where shot at 220-225 yards lasered, its an excellent little deer rifle. I've never seen any Gold Dot loads for it.

Like you, I have worked up a load with the gold dot and CFE BLK with great results. Point of impact shift was minimal as well between my handloads and cheap steel case wolf ammo, which made life even better.

Same here, my CFE handload shifts only about 1/2” at 100 yards from wolf hp’s

Love mine, just ordered new glass for it. Waited till just a lil bit ago to order one. was hoping they made a model with ak mags. Now i am holding out and waiting for them to make one with ar10 mags besides the hunter model.

Try some Tulammo 124 soft points. Mine will shoot 3 into one hole at 50 yards. I will have to find some more of those somewhere...
