I'm looking at some czech training ammo, the kind that has what looks like a pistol bullet with a white tip. Anyone have any experience with it?
Pros?
Cons?
And what does it usually go for?
Thanks guys.

Fun. Loud, somewhat expensive, loud, doesn't feed well in PSLs, feeds only okay in SVTs and DP-28 semis, loud, and fun. Reasonably accurate. Corrosive. I should've bought more when I had the chance.

I meant to buy some of that stuff before it dried up. If it's what I remember, it featured a hollow core.

If you know where there are some available (and not a scalper's prices), post a link if you can. I would to have some on hand.

Thanks for that link, Murphy! That's actually not a bad price compared to what I saw on GB a few months ago.
I will certainly be ordering some before I let it slip by again.

I've shot a fair bit of it. It's loud, but no appreciable recoil. I've shot it out to 100y, and like any ammo, it's accurate out of some guns, not so much in others.
Can't speak to the price, haven't bought any in years.

I believe this ammo should do a number on watermelon:

I only ordered 108 rounds, but I'll likely place an order for more after the holidays (assuming they still have any left).

I bought a case back when it was cheap. It is fun to shoot. Good for breaking in a new shooter, all the noise and flash less recoil. It is also good to insert one round in a magazine full of regular ammo to see how bad you buddy flinches.....chris3

I got a bunch, and tried it at 50 yards. The accuracy wasn't spectacular, but I didnt' expect it. It cuts holes in paper like a wadcutter, though. As others said, low recoil makes it a lot of fun. It seemed about like a .223 to me.

It's 45gr, and from what I recall the velocity is about 3600fps from a 28" barrel and about 3400 from a 20" barrel. However, it drops to about 1900fps at 100 yards. With that loss of velocity, don't expect much accuracy beyond 100 yards, and 50 may be a practical limit for reasonable accuracy. But you can shoot it all day and never get a sore shoulder.

this stuff is awesome. I don't know about others, but my Mosin loved this stuff. I could hit the same hole at 75 yards over and over, then again, my mosin didn't seem to have ever been issued and was in pristine condition.
