Out pulling the lever in the garage and just finished sizing. It seems insane trim length is -.024 from max length. 2.260 is also listed in lee... Screenshot_20240221_184847_Chrome.jpg

Depends on what manual you choose….

Hornady shows max Norma case length @ 2.270”…..
Western shows it @ 2.274”….

EDIT:
I read the Western info wrong…..max length of 2.284” also…..🙄🙄

Which die do you have? I started at the shell plate minus a quarter turn and it was about perfect... I had the rifle in hand and squeezed them no more than needed. I have a lee die...
I have Lee dies; I use PPU brass and have never had an issue. I do have a few boxes of old Norma 7.7 ammo and some once-fired Norma brass but haven't tried reloading any of it.

I also have ppu. I planned on using the Norma for jacketed and ppu for cast. I'm going to focused on fire forming this batch of 50 and getting a good load. Then I will play with cast.

My bad… I’m using Green, expander is .310. Had to use the Rock Chucker and a good but of wax. Shoulder profile looks way different from before and after.. Norma 1st fired but not from my rifle (I think)

Remind me of sizing rifle case..crank sheel holder all the way up, screw down the die till it stops?

I cut mine to 2.265 leaving some on the table for the shoulder to blow forward. Rifle sizing is generally to shell holder lower ram and go another 1/8th of a turn to take up slack. I find that In a lot of situations that way overdoes it. I started to shell plate back off 1/4...

Back 1/4! will keep that in mind

What powders you guys using? I’m looking for a light charge that won’t get stuck in my barrel

Primers… Large Rifle?

can’t wait to shoot my WW2 Arasaka bring back. Probably has not been shot since Japan. Was found behind a water heater during renovations of my buddy’s ex. That was a good 20 years ago

I have some premium hodathunkit .312s that will get their time when I get an noe expander. I hadent intended on going down this path but the boy really digs shooting it. Could care less about the 6.5x55....
I can’t wait! we been working on this project for a few years now! 😂

I finally got time from parenting, and I’m shooting man!

Mine is my grandfather's war trophy. Funny it did a lot of next to the water heater time.... I'm loading with a middle of the road load of hunter. I'll switch to imr4064 once the cases are formed.
