I would like your thoughts on the remington 7600 in 35 Whelen. Your thoughts on the rifle / caliber combination. Deer boar and elk are in the picture.

I'm going to bump this back up, because I've wondered the same thing.

I've got a 7600 in 270 but have always wished it was a 35 Whelen.

I've shot 760s and 7600s in .270, .308, 30-06, .243, and .257 Roberts, and I love them all, I just don't know anything about the Whelen.

I had the whelen and liked it. But in the end ammo/bullet cost and recoil weren't worth it vs the 30/06 which for me does everything I need to do anyhow. Go price a box of 250 grn 35 caliber spire points

I don't have a Remington 7600 in 35 Whelen, but if I could find one, I'd buy it. I really like the 7600 (and its predecessor the 760) and I've always had a fondness for 35 Whelen.
