I think Ruger used a 1-9 1/2 twist for the 7 STW.no idea?
that HEAVY! and at 3200+ definitely a elephant gunMight be able to stabilize 180-185s comfortably.
no , but a wildacat 8mm Mag to 9.3 mm with the usual tough 286 grain bullets would be in places that it would be legal for dangerous game. I think 3000 fps or close would be attainable with the 286 9.3 bullet.that HEAVY! and at 3200+ definitely a elephant gun
Bring back heavy recoiling power house guns! LOVE ITno , but a wildacat 8mm Mag to 9.3 mm with the usual tough 286 grain bullets would be in places that it would be legal for dangerous game. I think 3000 fps or close would be attainable with the 286 9.3 bullet.
BULLET 1st! ! respectAs fine a cartridge and any other but bullet selection is poor and not getting any better, so I would not invest in one for that reason. I’m not really interested in cartridges, I’m only interested in bullets. I pick bullets and then choose a cartridge to propel it, not the other way around.
$2,000! GOOD NIGHT!
$2,000! GOOD NIGHT!
I know what caliber rifle I’ll be looking for at the pawn shops
you can do that?Just buy any magnum 700 and spin on a new tube.....heck i might just do that, ive got a spare BDL stock
Shaw can do a stainless barrel for 330 if you don't flute it (i did configure muzzle threads for brake or suppressor for an extra $30, and deep chamber for $40 just to get to the medium top end of price spectrum)...you can do that?
dang! just send in the Action! this is a GREAT ideaShaw can do a stainless barrel for 330 if you don't flute it (i did configure muzzle threads for brake or suppressor for an extra $30, and deep chamber for $40 just to get to the medium top end of price spectrum)...
Yup, as long as you stay with the cartridge family usually you dont have to do any action work besides pulling the old barrel and installing the new.you can do that?
Ive had Shaw do a full rebarrel on two rifles, both came out very nicely. They also offer savage 110 clones, and a higher end gun now, in their rifles lines. Those are semi customs running about 1k-1500 then 2kish. Ive been tempted a couple times as i can get them cheaper than most of the other mid level production rifles i like.......dang! just send in the Action! this is a GREAT idea
