95% recoil reducer? Too good to be true?

I'm also impressed by their high-tech testing equipment. (Pegboard, dial caliper and a screendoor spring) Looks like it was put together by McGiver.:uhoh:

I wonder if it could tame the recoil on my 12MM automatic assault rifle pistol. You don't suppose it would mess up the concealibility by making it to heavy?

You can't cheat the laws of physics.

Very true!! However, you could add weight, but just to cancel out a standard 38 Spl load would take around 8 or 9 lbs.. (That would be really handy.:barf:)
If I remember my physics, you can also convert energy to heat. I don't know how much heat would have to be generated to soak up the recoil, but I bet you wouldn't be able to hold the gun without asbestos gloves.)

When it comes to testing, personally, I immediately disregard any results obtained from folks who cannot even correctly identify the tools they use to test with.

They sell on the principle that Barnum was right. There's one born every minute.

You mean there have been 6,244,128,000 P. T. Barnums born?

Wowwwww.

(The word "gullible" is not in the dictionary.)

I'm going to buy my Lab the stealth dog suit. That way I can send him to poop in the neighbor's yard without getting caught.

I don't see the advertised device as being very useful, but there ARE some very interesting ideas available out there that I'd like to see someone make use of; one of the most effective I've seen is "balanced-piston" operation, where gas pressure is used both to drive the bolt/bolt carrier rearwards, AND drive a correspondingly heavy piston forwards, thereby cancelling out the rearwards recoil (or at least most of it). One of the runner-ups in the Russian Abakan rifle trials, the AEK-971, is based on this principle, and it shows an almost unreal lack of muzzle climb, especially in full-auto. You can see a video of the AEK-971 being fired at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gOozMdEV_AU

I like the magic motor better. With that thing I could probably clear enough I could pay someone to absorb recoil on my behalf.

Wait. Where's the fun in that?
Never mind.

HAHAHAHA "deap breath" BWAHAHAHAH oh man, this is a great read. thanks for the laugh guys. this is why I come to thehighroad. oh yea and to get good wisdom on gunny shooty thingies

This may be the funniest thread ever; what a hootenanny! :)
HTTIRSP, IR stealth coverall for hunters or dog….....……...$395 each
Daytime stealth coverall for Hunter, dog, or diver ….………$1,250 each
Nano tech paint against visibility, IR, & Radar……….….…..$19 per sqft

Whew, that's rich! I would love to see a diver wearing coveralls - does that go under or over the wetsuit? - Too bad I wouldn't be able to see him though; rats!

A PAINT that makes you invisible to RADAR - awesome - I need that! They could have saved the DD billions in the F117 and B2 design developments by just selling them some of that paint to slap on an FA-18, at only $19 per square foot!

Now, it IS ok to send your 120mm mortar via UPS, for your retrofit kit, right?

I'm pretty sure the retrofit recoil-reducer itself is also invisible - you don't need to see it, but rest assured, it's in there when you get your gun (or mortar) back.

As long as my enemy is far away I see no need to snipe him out. Better to invite him over for ribs then convince him he has a serious disease and he needs to take an extended vacation to a small tropical island in a remote part of the Azores. Thats in the Atlantic and by the time he finds out where it is he'll be so confused he won't be able to find you. He will be reduced to making recoil canceling devices to sell to tourists just to get his daily ration of chewing gum and bread.

While I agree there is no free lunch, and I'm sure there is some hefty, undesirable downside to their recoil reducer, I hope you are only laughing at the price.

PArt of the stealhiness of the f117 and B2 is in the paint. It absorbs radio waves and radiates them as heat. I'm sure it costs more than $19 per square foot though, especially given the application process necessary to make it work properly.

I believe that's the same stuff they coat on microwave dishes which "crisp up" the food. Like burritos and chicken pot pies. It's a gray, almost silvery coating.

I once tried to research where I could get a bucket of that stuff to paint my car with.

For obvious reasons.

I always wanted to collect a bunch of those dishes just to stick them on my car to see if it would work.

But I like neither burritos nor chicken pot pies that much.

It's not "paint". it's a layered composite material and was hard as hell just to apply. The lamination that was applied kept separating on every 4th or 5th layer and took forever to get it right. I remember North Amer Rockwell was firing/hiring engineers about every 2 or 3 days over that problem on the B1. Same technology was used on the various missiles being developed about the same time.

I bought one of these. What they are not showing you is the piece of rope. You tie one end to the barrel and the other to the table. Pesto, no recoil. :D

They shoulda hired me. I'da just taken a bunch of the above-mentioned Burrito wrappers and Chicken Pot Pie plates and duct-taped them to the aircraft.

Like I wanted to do with my car.

First off I have nothing to do with this company and as with you I first heard of this companies claims on this thread.

But I think I know how it operates, many years ago a company came up with several products for handgun and rifles that reduced the recoil and flash to nearly zero. I fired a S&W 41 cal before the modification and after, the recoil was no more then a .380 after, On a Ruger ACC556 (full auto version mini 14) it removed all felt recoil and barrel climb, which on the standard 556 is beyond bad, On the mini 14 and M-16 it also removed all flash even on full auto. They also demonstrated a Remington 416 with the modification and it reduced the recoil to that of a 243. I know the .41 and the .416 had their barrels cut off a few inches and a new piece of smooth bored barrel with several different dimensions ending with a reduced diameter at the muzzle. The mini 14 and m-16 changes were accomplished with a flash suppressor.
since this company claims it uses a insert maybe this is using the same technology. I won't be the first to send them a gun but I will keep an open mind. I am old enough to remember the doubts that were raised about muzzle breaks working.
