Probably as when I ordered my Seracs, they showed multiple shipping options. One thing I'm not happy with was Natchez only had shipping with FedEx, I'm assuming because I added some SK 22lr to try in my Bergara.
Quality rifle scope should withstand the negative slam of air guns. I had several scoped break barrel air rifles and would not hesitate to use Bushnell Trophy line scopes (My minimum standard for scope recommendation now). My Trophy 3-9x40 sure can take some bumps and act like nothing hit it.I don't knowAre they air gun rated?
I couldn't find much about the reticles (I still don't know what VFD even means). My best guess is MOA.Thanks for the pics of the reticles @LiveLife. We still don't know if the new one is moa or mil though hey?
Yeah, same here. Found out when removing the rings for @Spats McGee. A little wiggle after removing the nut loosened the block for removal. Heck, think of it as "safety retention" feature. One thing im not happy with is the rings. They get ''stuck'' on the rail after i loosen the nuts. That is a new one to me.The rings are pretty crummy
Caps on old $150 ones were very tight and maybe they over reacted because while the front cap on the new Serac was tight, rear cap was not tight and readily came off.rear scope cap falls off the first one I opened.
like… a piece of tape?I am thinking about using wrap around shim.
No, I was thinking couple of small rubber bands or larger one looped in half or third.like… a piece of tape?
No, rings are sold separately. Viridian 30mm rings sold on Amazon are $13 - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...natchez-tax-refund-sale.929399/#post-12871739I didn't know it came with rings
That's likely for mount nuts, not scope ring bolts.Leopold 30mm rings and they recommended 28 in/lbs which seems crazy
Yikes! 45 inch pounds!
OK, got the loose rear cap issue resolved using one rubber band looped in half.thinking about using wrap around shim ... couple of small rubber bands or larger one looped in half or third.rear scope cap falls off the first one I opened

That was my initial consideration then thought of trying a rubber band first for those who didn't have a heat gun.Nice, I used a heat gun on the cap.
If using fullsize stock with straight top, high 30mm rings - https://viridianoptics.com/products/rings-and-mounts.htmlwhat height rings are you using for this scope ... Ruger PRF 22LR
While doing some digging for what type of reticle VFD-2 was, found this from my original thread. Reason why I couldn't find the eye relief (My guess of 3.5" wasn't too far off) or reticle type is because the page has been deleted - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...g-range-reticle-for-150.900740/#post-12191635
- Eye relief is not specified but comparable to 3.5" of Strike Eagle (4.0" for Crossfire II)
Thank you.....If using fullsize stock with straight top, high 30mm rings - https://viridianoptics.com/products/rings-and-mounts.html
If using 10/22 or Magpul MOE X-22 or other angled stocks, medium 30mm rings - https://www.amazon.com/Viridian-Scope-Rings-Pair-Medium/dp/B0855J36QH/ref=sr_1_4
Since Ruger Precision Rimfire has adjustable cheekpiece, I would recommend medium rings.
