i just started reloading 9mm recently. i am loading hornady xtp jhp 90 grains over top of 5.8 grains of W231. I actually called hornady a while back for a recipe for 9mm, and they were very helpful. However, i am loading to .2 grains past the max, which is 5.6 grains of W231, and when the last round is fired from the magazine, the slide does not stay back. i don't want to keep making the load hotter just for safety reasons of course, and i'm not trying to beat up my glock26. I am loading on this recipe 5.8 grains of W231, c.o.l. @ 1.070. Here's the info. hornady gave me....
90g Hornady xtp jhp
W231 4.7-5.6
c.o.l. 1.070
Any suggestions? or is this normal for the slide to close after last round? thanks guys....hvychev77
