I go through weird gun phases. Here lately I have been interested in Tokarev pistols and their clones. For some reason the look appeals to me and they actually feel somewhat decent in my hand. I've decided to acquire one as a cheap plinker. 9x19 makes more sense for my uses than 7.62x25. Local shop has a Norinco 9x19 that seems to be in pretty good shape. It is one of the versions that has a spacer in the mag well and uses a thinner magazine than the versions that use a 7.62x25 magazine with a spacer in the mag to accomodate the shorter 9x19 cartridge. My issue is with parts. Whenever I buy a used gun I usually replace the recoil spring and I want to obtain some extra mags.

First question: does the 213 use the same recoil spring as a 7.62x25 TT-33 Tokarev/Type 54?

Second question: is this 9mm magazine at Numrich the type to use in a Tok with a spacer in the mag well? http://www.e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd.asp?chrProductSKU=576400A&chrSuperSKU=576400&MC=

Thanks in advance.

You might want to give Numrich a call about the magazine; it's just too hard to tell from the picture.

If you want to use the larger magazine, the spacer in the magazine well is usually just pinned in place.

I've never seen separate recoil springs listed for the 9mm and the 7.62x25, but if you want to err on the safe side with a replacement spring, Wolff has them for the 7.62x25

In addition to Numrich, parts can be found on GunBroker, Buymilsurp and Marstar.

This page is a good read in regards to the 213:

Wish I still had mine, but it went to a good home (the new owner is very happy with it)
