A challenge.....

Rifle: Schultz & Larsen 6.5x55, a good suppressor and a Schmidt & Bender on top. Quick change barrel system if it's within the rules to have more than one barrel for each gun.

Handgun: HK P7M13.

Rimfire: Sako Finnfire with suppressor and glass.

Shotgun: Not really a shotgun person, I'd be happy with any O/U of decent quality that fits me. Maybe a Beretta 686.

I started at scratch and chose four guns that I don't own. In ten minutes I'll probably change my mind and want something completely different... If I had to choose in my own safe, the guns would be different (and cheaper), but the trend would be the same.

For the zombie-apes my choice would be bananas marinated in a holy water based solution of arsenic and garlic-juice. Served on a silver platter.

I have no use for a shotgun, but if I did

I'd choose a 3" 20 ga mag, either in single shot if money mattered, or a Remington 1100 autoloader if cost were no object.

Rifle, AR-15, because it can be 7.62x39 for deer, .50 bmg if I want it to be, 458 SOCOMM for elk, moose, or bears, or it can have a .22 lr conversion unit. I sure wouldn't choose a slow old bolt action as my only rifle.

Pistol, an alloy framed 1911, for the same reasons. It can be 460 Rowland for big game, 9x19 for cheap practice, .45 of course, and there's several different types of 22lr conversion unit for it.

If "allowed" 4 guns, and didn't choose a shotgun, I'd choose a pocketable 9mm as the 4th gun.

Hi Cap AK variant.(My saiga would work fine)
My 910s. It's stainles. It ALWAYS goes bang. It's accurate. It holds 15 rds.
870 Super Magnum Synthetic. Shoots any 12g shell. Always goes bang. A marine version would be nice too.
Henry Golden Boy .22 Magnum because it is neat-O.

OK, here goes...

Shotgun:

Remington 870 in 12 gauge.

Rifle:

Any quality bolt action rifle in .308.
For example: Remington 700 or Ruger 77

Handgun:

If CCW is most critical then a pocket 9mm such as P11.
Otherwise, a S&W 686 in .357

Rimfire:

Ruger 10/22

Thanks guys.

It really suprised me to see more bolt actions than semi-autos. That was partly one of the reasons why I asked the question, because I might purchase a new rifle (I have been saying this for months :banghead: ), and I can't decide between getting an EBR (I really really want a DSA FAL), or a bolt action (thinking Tikka or Savage).

I wasn't really suprised to see the strong 1911 showing, and I knew that the 870 would dominate the shotgun catagory.

Thanks for playing guys.

Oh, and for my answer,

DSA SA58 21"HB, bipod and leupold glass,
Mossberg 590
Springfield 1911 .45
Ruger 22/45

I.G.B.

870 -easy choice, close second is mossy 500, and third would be one of the Escorts Moparmike mentioned. Had one and was a good gun.
M1A w/ QD scope mount and scope-not as easy, would also like a scoped out 700 in .308, but ya know how squirrely those zombies are- quick follow up shots are mandatory with those buggers.
cz-452- couldnt decide between 10/22 or model 60 ;)
1911 in .45 acp- classic, easy to work on, mostly drop in parts, lots and lots of ammo made for it.

Under our laws, the receiver is the firearm. Therefore --

1. Shotgun -- Browning Superposed O/U with matching set of bbls -- 12, 16, 20, 28, and 410.

2. Handgun -- Contender, with a large and varied number of bbls of different calibers, lets say 17 HMR ,204 Ruger, 22LR Match, 22 Hornet ,223 Rem , 7-30 Waters , 30/30 ,375 JDJ, 44 Rem Mag, 45/70 Gov’t , 45 Colt/410 Ga.

3. The Sig Sauer R93 with the bbls/bolt heads for .257 Wby. Mag., 7mm Rem. Mag., .300 Win. Mag., .300 Wby. Mag., .300 Ultra Mag., .338 Win. Mag., .375 H&H Mag., .416 Rem Mag.

4. Rimfire? tough call -- Maybe NEF Sportster with three bbls., 17HMR, 22WMR, and 22LR. Anyone know of a bolt or semi rimfire with switch bbl. capability?

Net result -- 1 shotgun covering 5 gauges., 1 center fire bolt rifle covering 8 calibers, one center fire handgun with 11 calibers, and 1 rimfire with 3 calibers.

OK, I think I am good to go!:D

M1A
Remington 870
1911 A1
10-22

And whoever made me only have 4 better watch out cause I just gave up a lot of sentimental firearms:fire:

I will be pretty generic here:

One pump shotgun, 12 ga. preferably with 2 barrels. If no extra barrels, then 18" with interchangeable chokes. My first choice would be an Win 1300, then an Rem 870.

One bolt action centerfire rifle, in .30/06, with good 3-9x variable scope. I would prefer a Win. M70, but regardless of brand, it would have to be in stainless steel.

One centerfire revolver, preferably a S&W, stainless steel, in. 357 Mag. Fixed sights preferred (more durable). A model 65 with 4" bbl would be perfect.

A .22 rifle, bolt action, probably a Ruger M77/22, in stainless steel.

12 ga drilling over 30 '06 (can also shoot .224's in sabots)
.454 Super Redhawk (shoot mild to wild loads)
Legacy levergun in 454 Casull
Buckmark Target in the new 17 Mach 2

Remington 870 12 gauge - all around short range defense/hunting weapon
1911 45 acp - personal protection people
Smith 629 in 44 mag - personal protection big beastie
M1 Garand in 30-06 - longer range hunting/defense weapon

Shotgun- Rem 870 12 ga. What else?

Rifle- Rem 700 PSS .308

Pistol- 1911 .45

Rimfire- Ruger 10-22

I don't have the 1911 yet, but I have the others. I do have Ruger .45, but really, really want a 1911. If any Glock fans have an old 1911 that they want to get out of their sight, I promise I will do my best to shoot it to death for you.

Handgun: Glock 22
Rifles: Bushmaster CAR-15 w/22LR kit & Springfield M1A
Shotgun: Mossberg 500 20" (8-shot, (1) riot gun barrel, (1) 28" VR barrel)

Shotgun
12 ga 870 (with slug, buck and field barrels)

Pistol
Glock 20 (with extra barrels for .357sig and .40 s&w)

Rifle
Thompson Encore Rifle (With barrels in 45/70, 7mmMag, .223)

Rimfire
CZ452

AR-15 variant, 20" barrel
Remington 870, 12 Guage
1911(SW1911)
.22 Rifle (Ruger 77/22)

That should cover most needs. I'd want a conversion kit for the 1911- does that count as a seperate gun? :D
