I always take a couple blaze orange, plastic leaf bags with me when scouting or hunting. I probably could do with kitchen sized bags, but..., those are white, and walking out with a large, white object in my hand bobbing along as I hike is just asking to take-fire. The orange trash bags I get at a local orchard/pumpkin patch and they sell the orange bags to put your lawn leaves in, and when fully filled one portion has some black triangles and a black "smile", so it looks like a giant jack-o-lantern sitting on the edge of your property, awaiting pick-up. Anyway, I fill them with any trash that I find, and it doesn't hurt when scouting the area before hunting season to let the land owner see me carting out a bag of trash or two. Also, I let the land owner know if I see an opening in a fence or a break in the cattle fence, that sorta stuff. IF you become the farmer's extra eyes, you may find he complains if you don't go out there often enough. This is why farmers and ranchers are closing up their land to hunters.
That’s when you load them up and dump them in the yard at night.somebody dumped a load of used shingles and the wrappers from the new ones in our woods a couple years ago.
my brother called the law, they came out. he showed them a house about a mile away that had been reroofed. showed him the remainder of the same used shingles and the wrappers from the same new shingles found in our woods that were still in a pile in the house backyard.
officer just shrugged and said there was nothing he could do unless we caught them in the act. nice.
Better yet, set up an old camera in an obvious spot as a "head-fake". Put the real cameras further off, in the trees, where they will get a good shot of the licenseYeah, be sure to put the cams in a not too visible spot...,
LD,
I'm convinced that the costs associated with using a dump/landfill contribute to this sort of thing. No one wants to pay $144 to get rid of trash. I'm not saying I have solution, but if it weren't so pricey, I think there would be less trash where it doesn't belong.
