My old tent is done after 20 years of use, Looking for a good 4 man tent for hunting in all weather conditions, Also a good price I might add. What have you used with good results in inclement weather for several days afield.

I have one of these. Nice tent: http://www.amazon.com/Coleman-Weath...=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1318589821&sr=1-3

If you don't assemble it correctly, yes, you can get results like the bad reviews say. But if done right, it's a fine tent. It's not a dome tent so it weathers a LOT better. I'm sure you know the rule of tent sizing, though: always get at least 2 person sizes bigger than the number you intend to put in it. A "4 person" tent may fit 4 people, sleeping side-by-side on the floor and packed like sardines. A 6-8 person tent will fit those 4 comfortably with all their critical gear.

I bought a cheap one from Walmart back in 1999 and the wife and I have camped out in it countless times. I then started using it for backcountry hunting camps. I'd imagine that it cost somewhere around $30. It's still going strong, but I've moved onto something a whole lot lighter in weight.

Cheap and good don't generally go together when we are talking about a tent that will actually hold up and keep you dry in foul windy weather.

I had a cheap tent collapse on me during a rain/snow storm up the McArthur river in Alaska on a brown bear hunt once. That was the coldest wettest night of my life. The second I got back to Anchorage I dropped some big bucks on an expedition grade heavy weather tent a North Face Arrowhead to be specific which I am still using today.

There are some things I just won't skimp on.
