That $150 had the same buying power in 1952 as $1452.29 has today!!!!
The US Dollar is now worth 1/10 of what it was worth when I was born in '49.
How many are earning 10 times what they were making back then?

So........find me an authentic original Sam Hawken for $1452.29 and I will double your money for you.

Good Morning,
I can buy into this nostalgic conversation. ( was born in 59' ) 100.00 a week was a good salary back then in the 60's My Mom and I got by on a lot less. The finest American made luxury cars were 15.000.00 or thereabouts. That was what a professional type like a manager\banker or a doctor could be expected to bring home. Today, 100.000.00 a year is the median? I don't know. Like most of you, I own a small place away from Urban Centers and don't worry much about what happens there. The Spouse and I both work and make enough to provide for a comfortable future. Guns n' all. Nothing is permanent tho' ( even this ramble ;o)
regards,
