:) :) My beautiful bride has blessed my purchase of a graduation present for my MBA, so after checking out this sight for a while and checking out some 1911s, I bought a Kimber TLE II stainless steel last night. Its more than double what I ever paid for a pistol, so my expectations are high. I field stripped it last night, cleaned and oiled it last night. I hope to get a little range time this week or this weekend.

Anything to expect in regards to performance. I am seeing a lot of complaints on the extractor, etc. The dealer said to bring it to them if I have any problems. I am looking to shooting some nice groups.

I'm told (on forums like these) that Kimber admitted to individuals at the SHOT show that their first external extractor design(s) were flawed. They also said that the problem has been fixed now. If you have any failures to extract, I recommend calling Kimber, who will send you the proper extractor.
Odds are, though, that you'll be fine. The internet accentuates the vocal-ness of the vocal minority that have problems

Wild,

Let us know how your first range session goes. We hear a lot about problems on forums like this one but I would be surprised if you actually have a probleme with your individual pistol.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

WE WANT PICS!!! AND the range report. ;)

I had a hint of creep in both my TLEII and TMII, and neither like SWC's, but they both are fine with FMJ-FN's, and, of course, FMJ-RN's.
So I had them get a little fluff & buff to take the creep out of the trigger action and polish to feedramp ever so slightly to feed SWC's, and now they are amazingly sweet shooters. Also pick up some Wilson 1911 stainless magazines...makes a big difference.

You will most definitely enjoy! :D
