daymmmmnnnn... USD or pesos??? that's a lot of money... I wonder if it was one of the auctions where they have a picture of 10 bricks and in mouse print it says (this auction for 1 box only)....
 
Some people must be addicted to .22lr to pay that.

For that kind of money I just would have bought a new gun in a caliber I could find ammo for.
 
CMP has 5000 round cases of 22LR for $250.....with delivery in about 120 days. Guess some people can't wait that long.

I noticed on the Gunbroker auctions where buyers are paying huge prices for 22 ammo these people are buying and buying the same thing: 22 ammo. They are really stockpiling. Maybe they live in states currently working to deny them the ability to buy ammo?

Several states have already discussed "safety taxes" of like $.05 a round. That would bump a bulk pack to around $50-ish or so.

Doesn't explain $100+ a box though, unless a lot of people are worried about a background check to buy ammo. The .gov does seem out to create as many prohibited persons as possible as quickly as possible. It's harder to control a person with nothing to hide.
 
For the life of me I cannot understand this sort of madness.
However I must say I have witnessed more than a few times a guy or three with enough money and ego going full throtle on more than a few auctions on GunBroker or other like sites.
So with that in mind, go figure.
I just received a brick of 22LR from Midway just this week for under $30 before shipping.
Get a grip people!!!
