I've matched up a pair of Kimber CDPs, a Custom and a Compact, in a pair of Sparks VM2s. The holsters are cordovan horsehide with sharkskin trim. The whole holster is dyed cordovan but the sharkskin takes the dye differently making it look almost black. This gives the holster a two tone finish to match the two tone guns.

What do you think?

Thanks for your kind comments, guys! :)

I'm happy to have found a great holster and stopped filling my holster drawer with "almost good enough" holsters. I had the confidence to order these with the upgraded sharkskin trim because, after carrying a G30 in a VM2 for over a year, I knew that I'd be wearing one or the other of these new VM2s most everyday. I feel that utilizing something everyday helps to give truer value to the item over time.

Maybe im a newb here but what are the 2 rod looking structures in the first pic? Almost looks like barrels to me but I can not tell.

I've got a Kimber Compact CDP II, and am currently considering the VMII. Sure do like the look of that sharkskin.

Very pretty setup you've got yourself there.

I appreciate all of your gracious comments.

Ford that's a really nice combo. It's an Ultra CDP isn't it? The striped grips are very attractive.

ProCharger you were correctly informed by dav. Those are magazines on edge. Bonus points if you can tell what type of cartridges are loaded in them! :D

dav if you go with the sharkskin trim the holster is only available with a horsehide base in black or cordovan. The black is quite nice but for the two tone CDP the cordovan, imho, looks best because of its two tone finish.

The holsters took about 8 weeks to receive but they are of a quality that will last a lifetime.

Brass,
The Kimber is a Compact CDP. Kinda hard to tell from the pic.
The grips are a set of Chip McCormick slim grips. I love em'.
I really like those holster with the 2tone gun. When I ordered my VM2 I didn't want to wait and this was all I could find that was in stock.

McCormicks thin grips huh? Dang that's what I'm using too but they don't look as cool as yours!
