Interesting. (The thickness of slice #2 is less than a pixel wide.)

We should show this to the AR-15 fearing restaurant owner in Portland, Maine. On second thought, it probably won't make a difference.

Move along, nothing to see here. The antis have no interest in the truth or facts.:banghead:

What's your source on "mass shootings"?

You may want to run one for conservative estimate of gun owners (50-80 million) vs. mass shootings.

Facts are useless, in an argument with someone that does not recognize them.

The front runner(s) lie on video and stick by what they say, even though they can be proven wrong.

@ HSO

Well, it would be eight-fiftieth of a pixel.

Or eight-eightieth if you use the upper conservative estimate of 80 million.
;)

Pixelating (dimensions in terms of number of pixels) is kind of meaningless cuz that depends on the size of the pie.

The point of that pie chart is that it's so small a number (depending on source) that it fades into invisibility. But tell that to the "if it bleeds it leads" people who buy ink by the gallon and electrons by the 10[sup]big number[/sup].

I've often wondered what percentage of the illions and illions of rounds which are fired every year in this country result in injury or death.

Not counting M1 thumb and 1911 hammer bite.

That Pie chart sure puts things in there real perspective!!

It sure does. And because of that, I wouldn't show it to any anti....because they won't focus on the small percentage, they'll focus on the number "133".

Cause even as a gun guy, I was shocked there were that many. I understand the low percentage and I understand that there are far too many people in the world and it will happen somewhere. But anti-gun people lack perspective.

“But if we could save one life…” What we need is more “common sense” gun laws. :scrutiny:

"Mass shooting" = at least four (4) people shot (not including perpetrator).

Many drug related "drive-bys" qualify as "mass shootings"...

I have seen and heard several different definitions of a 'mass shooting', I think one of the problems we are going to face with statistics start getting thrown around is that by changing a definition it is easy to skew the results in a way that favors either side of an argument.
