I want a G19, but the grip is to short. I was wondering if a G26, with a Pearce mag extension, would give me more room? The 19s grip ends in the middle of my pinky, and wont work. Any feedback will be appreciated:)

Check out Bowie tactical concept's. They can customize a Glock frame for you.

????

The G26 is shorter both in barrel and grip than a G19, so I don't see how it would ever give you a longer grip than a G19.

The 26 is shorter than a 19. I would highly recommend Cope at Ross Sporting Goods in Farmington, NM for any smithwork for a Glock. I like the way the Glock 17 and 19 feel in my hand, but my G27 (same frame as the 26) didn't feel right until he did the grip reduction for me. I just got the gun back today, shot it this afternoon and man, what a difference! The grip is still short but with the reshaping of the back strap, removing the finger grooves and relieving the trigger guard it fits my hand very well. I'm 5'9" and my hands are average sized.

G17? The slide isn't that much longer, and if you want a longer grip, you've got it.

I think you could also try and find a 2nd gen (no finger grooves) G19. Maybe the the finger grooves are pushing your fingers apart more than they need to be and the old style would fit better.

I realize the 26 is shorter than the 19, but if you add a mag extension to the 26, is there more room than a stock 19. This will be a ccw, so the smaller 26 would be ideal.

dm1333, if you dont mind me asking, what did the work cost?

I heard the gen2 frames were more forgiving, that may be the way to go. My P11, with an extension, fits me well, but I hate the trigger, and its got to go:D

I don't think the G26 is the way to go if your hands are that big, extension or no. I would GUESS that at most you'd get something close to the grip size of the G19 at the most.

I bought a 17-round magazine for my G19 online a short while ago from Glockmeister- a G19 15-rounder with a +2 extension on the bottom. Let me go find a link. For that matter, I could take a pic of my G19 with the attached mag and upload it.

So far I've just tested it once, but no hiccup with a "smorgasboard" of cheap HPs, FMJs, and Silvertips!

EDIT: Hmmm...GM isn't selling the 15-rounders with the Glock +2 extension already installed anymore, it looks like - but is still doing the extensions by themselves.

OK, here's my G19 with the factory mag extension:

You said the smaller 26 would be ideal for concealment, but you want a longer grip because it's too small for your hand. You're going to need to nail down which is your priority before you do anything, grip comfort or concealability.

I'd consider maybe getting the 26 for the short slide/barrel, then getting an adapter for a G17 magazine. That will give you the grip longer than the 19 but the shortest slide/barrel length. That's not going to be very hot for concealment though with a grip that long.
