1 at a time; works for me. And hey, she's a revolver woman now.
Maybe ... or maybe not.

The article was rather inconclusive (or unrevealing) on that point.

She might now allow her hubby to buy a gun, but she could just as easily decide that she has now "Been there and done that" and has no desire or need to pursue it any further.

Although a very recent shooter (<1 yr) my personal commitment is to get another person a year into the sport. Think of what 80,000,000 gun owners could accomplish. Or, more realistically, what you could accomplish.

That's it. Right there. The best way to preserve our freedom is to get more people on board. I have found it very easy to interest people in firearms, even those who are apprehensive. It is well worth a few hours of explaining and assuring, and eventually getting them to the range. Suddenly, someone who had no knowledge or experience or desire, is interested in owning and firing guns. Heck, even some of the anti's can be brought around. I have pulled that one off a time or two just by being patient and overwhelming them with common sense and logical argument. Once brought into the gun world up close and personal, many folks who have little exposure are quite impressed with the quality and beauty not often associated with consumer goods these days.

It really is not all that difficult to interest people in firearms and shooting if you are willing to take the time. Many have simply never had the opportunity or predisposition.

You know, what we should really do, is select a date in the year (i.e. October 19th or something, whatever) and call it "Novice Shooter's Day" or something. Where we all, everyone on THR that we can find, and other forums, organize a couple of shoots around the country. The price of admission, bringing one person along with you that is new to the sport/firearms in general. There would be some safety concerns that would need to be met, but with all of the Range Officers, firearms instructors and LEOs on this site and sites like it, I bet we could pull it off. I try to turn a minimum of one person per-year for the past 5-6 years. So far, it has worked out. All but one has their carry permit now. He's getting his this fall I'd wager.

Anyone want to brainstorm on this idea? We spend so much time writing to politicians and the NRA/GOA/JFPO etc...but wouldn't a more direct approach, i.e. getting more people on our side yield better results? I'd like to put some time in on this if anyone else can help with some of the ideas. Shoot me a PM on it? Perhaps I should make another thread about this, though I hate to feel like I am spamming.
