In the past, employers and other private property owners have been advised by counsel that they could be held liable if they allow others to bring firearms on their property, and those firearms were discharged, causing personal injury or property damage.
Some employers and property owners have responded by designating their property as GFZs.
In this year's legislative session, Utah addressed this issue. By statute, Utah has eliminated civil or criminal liability for property owners who allow firearms on their premises. See:

I don't know which other states may already have this kind of statute on the books. But if yours doesn't, you might want to suggest that your legislators consider adopting a similar law.
