In the past, employers and other private property owners have been advised by counsel that they could be held liable if they allow others to bring firearms on their property, and those firearms were discharged, causing personal injury or property damage.

Some employers and property owners have responded by designating their property as GFZs.

In this year's legislative session, Utah addressed this issue. By statute, Utah has eliminated civil or criminal liability for property owners who allow firearms on their premises. See:

https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title53/Chapter5a/53-5a-S103.html

I don't know which other states may already have this kind of statute on the books. But if yours doesn't, you might want to suggest that your legislators consider adopting a similar law.

Ohio has had that for private businesses since concealed carry was legalized in 2004.

2)(a) A private employer shall be immune from liability in a civil action for any injury, death, or loss to person or property that allegedly was caused by or related to a licensee bringing a handgun onto the premises or property of the private employer, including motor vehicles owned by the private employer, unless the private employer acted with malicious purpose. A private employer is immune from liability in a civil action for any injury, death, or loss to person or property that allegedly was caused by or related to the private employer's decision to permit a licensee to bring, or prohibit a licensee from bringing, a handgun onto the premises or property of the private employer.

Nice balance of the law.

Only gun friendly states would pass such a law. Gun unfriendly states want to use liability to limit gun rights.

in Kentucky a bussness can not prohibit an employee from having a fire arm in their car on bussness property . But they can not bring it into the bussness if they say not too. If the bussness prohibits employee's from having a gun in their car or is fired or punished for it . the bussness can be sued by the employee and fined by the state

I once told an employer he could let me carry at work or I’d start looking for another job. I meant it and he knew it, he told me to do what I wanted but not to let anyone know it, including him.

I’ve often wondered if the liability could work the other way. We were sent into some very bad places with no security, protection, or any means of defense.
