A Tribute to Gewehr98. Pictures. If nothing else, guess what they are.

For those of you who know Gewehr98 from the Firing Line, you will understand this tribute I created this afternoon. For those of you who don't, this might be an inside joke.

If you had simply asked...

I would've sent you that darned red rifle cleaning stand. Matter of fact, I was gonna will it to you, El Rojo!

Now I gotta take more digicam images, wonder if they make a purple or lavendar rifle cleaning stand?

The tribute is this. Every picture Gewehr98 has of his rifles on The Firing Line are rested on top of a red gun rack like the ones above. Anytime he posted a picture, I knew it was going to be in the red rack. If I saw a picture of a gun in a red rack, I didn't have to look at the name, I knew it was him. Recently I bought a red gun cleaning rack. So I took the wife's cheapy camera and took some pictures of my guns in it. Gewher98, did you notice you have pictures of all of those same guns too (with possible expection of the Remington 700 VS)? I remember a lot.

Yup, Haven't bought a 700 VS yet.

Working on a Tikka 595 Master Sporter, though. And of course, my 700 PSS was pictured on the lovely red rifle stand.

Which reminds me, I'm opening the doors to the Gewehr98 Evil Lab today, I need ammo for this weekend. May be another batch of pics happening real soon, stay tuned!

I noticed the red rack thing too. For the most part I was looking at the rifles not the stand.

And to ad to your tribute, I just want to say that I think Gewehr98s sig line is one of the best out there. I about fell out of my chair the first time I read it.

If I sent him a list of all the stuff he needs to duplicate the Gewehr98 inventory.

Wife asked me the other day if we were good on our insurance rider.

Unfortunately, we had only 60 pieces listed on the policy.

Gun collections are a terrible thing, just like coat hangers in a dark closet, they breed and produce more.

Which reminds me, I need to produce more pictures.
