Chapter 19
Chapter 19
George Lincoln looked sat up in his bed, and looked over at Renee. He took the paper he'd been holding in his hands, and said to Renee, "Look at this. You see what this here says?"
Renee looked at what George was holding and asked "What?"
She was tired, and George's ramblings at her were not particularly welcome. She hadn't had a good night's sleep since the first night of the zombie attack.
"These documents. They keep on mentioning two corporations' names. Grumtech, and NORCBRI Inc."
"What does that matter, baby? The government outsourced this stuff to contractors." she said iritated, and sleepy.
George was too exited to be paying attention. He forged on. "Well, Grumtech is fairly well known. They have an aerospace division, a tank production division, and a biological research division. But, I don't think I've ever heard of NORCBRI." he said.
"Well, see if you can look it up on the internet. If we still have it."
"Great idea honey," he said, getting up, and running to the computer. It was a newer model Dell, and there was a cable connection. He was hoping the internet connection was still up.
Logging on, he managed to get through, the connection still working. He went through several search engines though because the main ones that came up when he opened the starting window was suffering technical dificulties. Then, George Lincoln entered, "N-O-R-C-B-R-I" into the computer all in capital letters and got an address for a company. He clicked on the link, and got a start page asking if he would like to have the site load in Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Japanese, Russian, Arabic, German, French, or Spanish."
He clicked on the English link, and he discovered that the company was a Chinese state majority owned corporation owned by the Chinese Military, although 49% of the company was for sale publicly. He clicked on the link to see "What We Do."
This company, he saw was a pharmaceutical research and production company. And it owned several European and American ventures as well. He stayed on the net for another couple of hours, and ended up printing off about twenty pages on the company. A company that had several contracts with the US government. Lincoln went back to bed, and layed the papers on his nightstand. In the morning he'd have an amazing theory for Renee.
