So I have a traditional A2 front sight and gas block on a 20" barrel with a flat top (Rock River). I'll get the detachable "carry handle with sight" for the classic look. But I'd like other options that will work with the stock front sight?

Adjustable peep mount would be nice.

1X circle dot would be another option.

All back up sights would wrk. Magpul polymer mbus would be the most ecomical. I run them on two rifles, but alot of ppl prefer metal sights though but they cost more. I was using just the mbus for awhile, but a descent red dot is the way to go imo, especially since my eyesight isn't t as sharp as it used to be. I did consider a carry handle on my 18" A2 but later decided on a budget optic combo I got for $220. Vortex Sparc Ar $180 and mbus $40. What's cool is I have the option to mount a magnifier later on, which I will once some funds come around. :D

For standard A2 front sight . . .

I've used the fixed rear by Troy. It's very well built, adjusts for windage, and has two apertures.

and . . .

I still have a Brownells' rear fold down sight that is all steel. It's adjustable for windage, but only has one aperture. It's a basic but strong fold down back up sight. When folded, it doesn't interfere with the charging handle. http://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...4-flip-up-tactical-rear-sights-prod25147.aspx
