Went to the Phoenix Gun show yesterday and managed to walk out with two Browning A5 shotguns for $500. One has a polychoke on it and the other is a full choke. After a good cleaning and setting the recoil system up correctly they work great. Both are mechanically in fabulous shape but one has a minor crack in the fore end wood, not enough to address at this time. I have been wanting an A5 for some time but never came across one at a price I was willing to pay. At $250 a gun I could not pass them by.

very good buys
forend cracks are notorious for this model. replacements stock sets costs more than you paid for those guns. i have had luck with the 75$ ramline replacement for my HD A5. its also the gun i take camping and fooling around with as its cut way down and is handy. not afraid of scratches on it.

as an aside, i think its one of JMB's better patents. he owned the auto shotgun for almost 50 years nobody could figure out a repeater that didnt violate his patent on this gun.

Already shot them. Now time to take them to the field and get some ducks. Got an elk hunt I am going to head out on then back to the duck hunting.

a5

You don't want to shoot steel shot in belgium barrells. If they are japanese barrells it won't be a problem. Great buy wish I had that kind of luck!!! Love the Browning shuffle! Happy hunting and good luck
