so I decided to order my next gun from Atlantic Firearms... Saiga .308... I ordered wood stock and handguards, conversion kit... mount... ammo... etc... I track package thru Fedex website and after 3 days of package being on truck for delivery... <...> the screen finally shows DELIVERED!!! hot dang... time to get my baby... I call to confirm all is good and they said the person who enters transfers into inventory so they can be picked up won't be in until tomorrow AM you'll have to pick it up then... really... really... <that's upsetting>...
I don't think I'll be using them anymore as my FFL... and I can't wait until tomorrow AM to pick up my baby... I've already named her "Death from a Distance" once she's all set up, I can't wait to see what kind of hogs and deer she'll take down...

So you can't wait 24 hours or less to pick up a gun you've already waited a week for? And you're so pissed at the dealer you won't use them again? Really?

It's tough when folks don't organnize their lives to make yours more special isn't it little fella.:neener:

Man I went on a rant not so dissimilar to this when my local shop told me my SCAR 17S would "be in Friday or Saturday" and ended up showing up the following Wednesday.

I can relate.

You'll relax again when you get it to the range, I promise. :)

I'm not a FedEx fan either. After seeing that a package, which needed my signature, was on the truck for delivery, I stayed home all day. It was never delivered. Later in the evening I checked and it was rescheduled for the next day because no one was home.

I was really angry because the driver lied. He never left a note that he attempted delivery. Also, if anyone rings my door bell, in addtion to being heard over the intercom I also get a call on my cell-phone. If I don't answer the cell-phone, it records on the cell-phone's voicemail.

Had I ordered FedEx ground, it would have been excuseable, but next day air should be delivered the next day.

you think that makes you mad... i had wrist surgury 11 days ago, went tothe doc today and found out i'll be in an arm brace for six weeks thenphysical theropy before i can shoot again....well two handed anyway

Hey, I had shoulder surgery 2 years ago and still haven't gotten up enough nerve to shoot the S&W 500 or Desert Eagle in 50AE.

An additional thought on Fed Ex. The FFL is required to sign for guns delivered by any means. It might have been on the truck for 3 days because there wasn't anyone at the FFL location to receive it.

LOL, I ordered a gun from Davidsons and tracked the package, called the dealer just like you when it showed "delivered". Same nonsense was told it had to be entered in the "book" and I actually waited a WEEK until I got my call. Next order from Davidsons a few months later I decided to use the same dealer because of their ridiculous low price compared to other dealers on the Davidson's website. I was prepared to wait another week, but this time they called me an HOUR after delivery by FEDEX. Go figure.....

WOW, relax dude. 24 hours is NOT worth getting THAT upset about. Everyone...even an FFL who has your order in his possession....deserves a day off! You'd REALLY consider taking your business elsewhere because of something SO minor in the grand scheme of things?

I have over half a dozen gun shops within 30 minutes that will transfer a weapon... and they ALL charge the same $35... I based my decision on perceived better service... I didn't know they only have 1 person who can enter the transfer in their "book".... next time I'm going to make sure there is more than 1 person who can do this so I can pick up my baby as soon as it arrives.... by the way I hate coffee... regular or decaf... I can't wait to bag some piggies with my new baby... I'll post pics...

That's exactly the type of impatient customer mentality FFL's don't want anyway... losing your pittance of a transfer fee is going to hurt them oh-so-much.

You'll go through a lot of gun shops before you find one where they'll drop everything to process your $35 transfer right now.

I have to agree whole heartedly. To the OP, I know you are excited but you need to relax and realize the world doesn't revolve around your shipment. It's not like the shop said the guy is on vacation and won't be available for a week. The guy will be in the next morning, process, and most likely have it ready to transfer by the afternoon. The nerve of some people.
