..on a new shotgun.

I have been bitten hard by the 3-gun bug...and I want a new shotgun!

Actually, I have two serviceable pump shotguns--a Winchester 1300 and a Remington 870. Both are smooth and work well--but I want a good semiauto.

So, out of the shotguns noted, which would you pick--and why? Help me out here....

Winchester/FNH SLP
Remington 1100 Tactical
Remington 1187P
Mossberg 930 SPX

These are within my price envelope, with the SLP being at the top end.

Yes, I know--Benelli makes a superb shotgun, but they're a little pricey for my taste.

Here are some further specs:

1. Must be able to cycle trap loads--7, 7 1/2 and 8 shot
2. Must be able to accept 2 3/4 and 3" shells
3. barrels available to accept chokes a plus, but not strictly necessary

Also--for those who will answer that are well versed in 3-Gun Competition, what do you think about taking a regular shotgun, putting a mag extension on it, and going for broke? That is another option....of course.....

You can choose more than one shotgun--if you do, tell me why. Thanks!

SLP, if you can find one/afford it. With sufficient practice you can learn to shoot it to the point the gun itself will not limit your times. You can make do with any of the others but eventually they may limit you, if you are good at the game.

And I don't shoot 3-gun any more, haven't for years, all I do with semiauto shotguns is essentially play with them (870s are my go-to shotguns). I do own some variation of all the basic shotgun models on your list though, and have played with all of them to one degree or another.

A modified-for-three-gun Browning Gold Hunter with its speed load feature is the only thing I can think if that would be better than the SLP... and personally, I can't even 'shoot up' to the SLP, so something slower running isn't a disadvantage for me.
