I am in the process of getting an AI in 338 LPM and a Sako TRG 42 in .300 WM...

would love to reach out and touch targets at about 1500 meters eventually.

However cant figure out what glass. Have read Zak's guides and those have just confused me further...
Its been a long time coming, and now that there is the budget for a scope around 2-3K per rifle dont want to get it wrong.

Btw would love to shoot sub MoA and see the holes... I cant shoot for crap though...

These are groups I average at 100 M with a CZ 452 @100 Meters with various types of ammo and a cheap baraska scope...

Note: Mistakenly posted in BP....as well

$2 to $3K per scope will get you among the best out there. I like my Nightforce for long range varminting. It's a tough scope for the field. If you're just at the range shooting paper, you won't need a tactical scope IMO.

If you want to print bugholes with the centerfire stuff you're buying, you'll have to load your own. Fire form the brass, determine the best distance off the lands, get the right type and amout of powder, optimum FPS, etc.

I do want bug holes and do reload. (.222 Rem Mag, .300 WM and 8x57 [weird european cartridge])
I typically shoot off a bipod or sand bags or a bipod... No flied shooting per se.

Are there any specific models I should be looking for? Also have bad eyesight..

A leupold Mark 4 or a Night Force scope are the best out there. For 1000+ yards/meters you are going to need a whole lot of scope.

USO, S&B and Premier Reticles new scope when ready.

I own a USO and have shot with a S&B. Either would serve you well.
