I have a Vulcan Arms semi-auto MAC-10, and I got the barrel threaded today for my AAC Ti-Rant. It's all clack and very little bang. :) Now, the only thing it seems to be missing to be the ultimate home defense pistol is an accessory rail for a laser/LED combo. Any recommendations for what/where for the rail, and what for the laser/LED combo?

First thing I would do is figure out if it will run a full magazine of ammo without jamming 29 out of 30 times. I speak from experience my vulcan heese arms mac10 was a total jamming piece of crap. I tried every brand of ammo I could physically find, I tried borrowed mags from a guy that had a full auto mac 10 and at the very best I could get it to do was about 20 rounds out of a full mag without a jam. It wasn't seeming to get any better despite cleaning, lubing, and at around 800 rounds of ammo and numerous wasted range trips I give up. I really wanted that oversized unaimable scary looking bullet hose to be my favorite toy. I had dreams of SBR and a folding stock and a foregrip for it but it just didn't happen.

It finally got to me so bad that I walked into a pawn shop and traded it and 150 bucks for a .357 snub nose taurus that was only 325 bucks.

A bit of google-fu and you will see i'm not the only one that had problems with one.

TO make my post useful to you tho, assuming you have a good functional one, is it a side cocker or top cocker? If its a top cocker you'll be pretty much limited to putting the rail under the front of it in front of the trigger guard.

I have bought stuff from USMG and can attest to the quality of their products. Good gear, first place I'd check :)
