A few years ago I got a good deal on a bunch of Accurate 2700 rifle powder. Found loads in the 1992 Accurate reloading manual and have been using it in my Mosin and SVT-40 for a while now (with 150 gr Hornady SP projectiles). Recently was going through my reloading books (I have lots!) and noticed that Western Powders (which bought Accurate a while ago) doesn't list A2700 for the 7.62x54R. It's also not in my Lee, Lyman, Hornady, or Speer manuals.
The 1992 book version from Accurate Powders lists both A2700 and A2495 powders for the 7.62x54R
The 2003 PDF version from Accurate Powders doesn't even list the 7.62x54R.
The 2011 PDF version from Accurate Powders doesn't even list the 7.62x54R.
The 2016 PDF version from Western Powders only lists A4350 for the 7.62x54R.
The 2019 PDF version from Western Powders only lists A4350 for the 7.62x54R.
Anyone volunteer to look up the 7.62x54R in other manuals (Nosler, Barnes, ??) to see if A2700 is there?
So, any thoughts on why A2700 is no longer listed for 7.62x54R? Anyone believe I am going to blow up my firearm (or me) if I continue to use it?
Thanks
