Received my order of 158gr 38cal bullets today from Acme Bullet Company. Cool red bullets with way cool boxes with extra bullet for luck and extra box with candy in it.
Loading for my 4" 357 GP100. Going to start with Universal, then probly some Alliant 2400, anyone that uses these bullets that would like to share there favorite powder they use would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

How does the Road Runner feel about this?:D

Cool. I like the boxes and the bullet board. Made in Wisconsin so they must be good. I will order from them when I need some bullets.

Thanks!

I use 15-16 gr of H110 in a 158 gr bullet in my 4 & 6" GP-100's
I have 3 or 4 of those boxes---look home made
I like their cases

It seems RoadRunner was safe from all Acme products used by Coyote.
Beep beep....:)

OP
I have used both 5gr and 5.3gr of Universal (5.3 is a.57 Lee disk) with a MBC coated 158 SWC. Was a nice midrange load. I don't have any chrono numbers for it but I am guessing between 1000-1100 fps. 5.3 Seemed to shoot a bit better. I imagine that load would work well with the Acme bullets as well.

The name of the company certainly leaves them open for some coyote jokes but the bullets they make are certainly not a joke.

I had the privilege of meeting and spending some time with the owners of Acme Bullet this summer at Camp Perry National matches. These guys definitely know bullets and are very knowledgeable about reloading. I bought several different calibers which proved to give good accurate loads. I really like the no lube groove feature of their coated bullets.

Loaded 36 with 5.2 grains of universal, and 36 with 5 grains of bullseye this morn. These are loads I have used with SNS coated 158 grain in the past that gave me good results. Don't know when I'll get out to test them but I will report back when I do.

Just loaded up and shot about 200 rounds of 230gr RN without a single problem. Opened up the flare on the case just a tad to avoid shaving off any coating and I like them....not to mention the hot lipstick red color.

I just bought 100 each of four different bullets from them. Haven't tried any yet.

Love their bullets.

I use Unique a lot. For a 158 swc, I like 6.4 gr for a moderate 357 mag. I also like 4.6 gr for the 38 special. Both loads are pleasant and accurate out of my Ruger GP100.

Good stuff. Ive used 5k of the 124gr and 147gr 9mm bullets. Excellent accuracy, and you can push them hard. Not to mention, they are about 45 minutes from me. I still use the Brian Enos code, and have them shipped.

i used some of there 230 gr. round nose bullets. they work better than MBC bullets for me, at least in the .45 ACP. YMMV

ive been using their regular and coated 9mm bullets for few months now and I have had nothing but good results with Hodgdo Longshot. I like the no lube groove designs they have available and the wooden boxes that everything comes in are pretty nice.
Not to mention when I got an order of 500 147gr 9mm bullets a few weeks ago they threw one of their bullet boxes full of candy. Easy way for a company to keep me loyal

Loaded up 25 of their .45 ACP 175 Gr SWCs earlier this evening. The game was boring.

My order showed up today, wow, what nice boxes and candy and keychain in the shape of a bullet!

Can't wait to try them...

Shot seven of those ACME 175 Gr SWC's today. Set the chrono at 5 yards and the target 7 yards away, like I almost always do when getting numbers. I used my Colt Series 80 Enhanced that has been worked over by a talented gunsmith and has a Red Dot sight on it so these old eyes can aim precisely with it. It's like cheating using this gun. If a load doesn't shoot one hole groups at 7 yards, it isn't worth trying at longer distances. I have to shoot at 25 yards to fine tune or compare loads with this gun.

I put 6 rounds through a tight one hole group, then got in a hurry and yanked number 7 down. *Sigh* But that's me, I'm great at getting in a hurry and blowing a good (Or great) group. :(

I was kind of close over the chrono (Had target a bit too low), so I aimed at the second hash mark above the center.

I have several powders that would have been worth trying, but decided to use something I have plenty of right now, Competition. I bought a 4 pound Jug of it while WST was nonexistent. I do have a new one pounder of WST though.

Shows promise. Too bad I pulled the last one down, but it showed what I wanted to know. :)

Wiley Coyote is my hero. If I ever get a tattoo, that's what it will be.

I also shot them in my CZ 97, and while I shot a decent group, I had to nudge the slide home a couple of times in seven shots. Oh well, I have a load that it loves.
