Folks:
I've been chosen to be a member of an ad hoc committee to review the recommendations of the Virginia governor’s task force on the tragedy at Virginia Tech here at IUPUI. The committee has been charged to do the following:
· Use the Virginia Tech report as a tool to list what is important to think about for our campus’s security
· Use the Virginia Tech report as a de facto standard and come to an understanding of where IUPUI stands relative to that standard
· Use the Virginia Tech report as a de facto standard and determine which recommendations we do not want to follow, and why
This may be a unique opportunity for me to represent the pro-RKBA mindset. I would be grateful if y'all would assist me in presenting suggestions to this committee that would foster concepts of self-reliance and the allowance of self-defense that could include firearms. I would imagine that most on this committee would be hostile to such notions so I'm going to need all the help I can get before our first meeting on November 9.
Thanks!
