Following up on another thread and a long held desire, I must ask: Does anyone know of an adjustable sight for the Ruger Bearcat? How about a ‘smith who has a track record installing adjustable sights on Bearcats?

Photos, names, addresses, URLs, and personal experiences welcome.

Personal experiance only here. Never heard of an adjustable sight for a Bearcat. What I did was to keep trying different ammo until I found some that shot well if not to POA and use Kentucky windage to acheive high hit ratio.

BTW, my Bearcat is responsible for more kills on game than any other weapon in the house. Maybe not game weight but kills for sure.

I've seen one Bearcat (old model) where a smith had milled in a set of S&W J-frame adjustable sights. Looked OK. Appeared to ruin the look of the Bearcat.
Personally I'd leave the Bearcat alone. If you want adjustable sights on a kit gun then go with a S&W 34/63 type gun.

I don't know how familiar you are with fixed sight revolvers, but you can sort of adjust the sights on them. Once.
To make the gun shoot higher you file the front sight down. You can either bend the blade slightly to get windage, or you can have the barrel turned slightly in the frame. You can also experiment with different bullet weights to change your point of impact.
Compared to adjustable sights this whole thing is a PITA, but once you get them adjusted you never have to worry about knocking them out of whack.
