I'm trying out Bayou 124gr TCG in our 1911s (WSF powder). The listed OAL for a round nose bullet is 1.169" which is no problem in our guns, but the TCG is 0.05" shorter so I adjusted the OAL down to 1.11 to have approximately the same seating depth.

At 4.2gr WSF I get a very soft shooting round which cycles the 1911s no problem, but I've obviously got a fair distance between the bullet and the rifling. Does this have the potential to cause accuracy or other issues? I haven't tested from a bench rest, but offhand the rounds seem to perform fine.

I just bought a chrono so I'll be looking at the PF: no problem for club level, but I'm pretty sure this configuration isn't making 125PF.

No, it won't cause problems.

The only OAL thing you need to worry about is if they will fit in the camber without hitting the rifling.
