I've found with WSF that 4.2gr behind a 124gr bullet produces a soft load that cycles the gun (1911) just fine. I've loaded 124gr RN at 1.169" per Hodgdon and the 124gr TCG at 1.11 (it's a shorter bullet by .05" so I elected to keep the seating death about the same). I'm going to stretch out the OAL on the TCG rounds to see if there is any effect, but all things being equal what differences would I expect to see between the two configurations from a performance standpoint? My wife like this load and I'm about to buy another 3000 bullets from Bayou. Again, we see no problem feeding either round.
