I want any advice anyone has to give me on the good cause part of the concealed weapons permit . I live in Ventura County and hoping to obtain a ccw license. I work at an armored truck company that handles large amounts of money on a daily basis. I work in the same town where I live and locals know where I work and where i live and associate me with money. I also work as a security guard in a night club that is in a not so good part of town, again; locally. I have had to stop many bar fights and kicked many people out some even got arrested, and this concerns me because it involves people that can easily find out where I live. after my shift is over I have to walk to my car th through an alley. wondering if this is enough good cause. I have a clean background and good moral character. gladly take in any advice anyone had to give me.

Ventura county California?
You'd probably get more details from calguns or another state-specific forum.
Personally, I think you have enough reason to get a CC permit just by being a citizen without a violent felony in your history.
Have you asked your co-workers who pack what they did when applying?

In New Hampshire (a 'shall issue' state), all you need to write is 'self-defense' (or hunting, or target shooting).....nuff said and no questions asked. Don't complicate the issue by adding your life story; you'll just muddy the waters.

I forgot to ask the obvious......do they REQUIRE more of an explaination??
