Advice from a professional. -Lube your pistol cases.

As with any advice that we receive, it's our perrogative as to whether we think it is wise for us to take it. I'm not offended by anyone that doesn't want to take my advice, but just keep it in mind if you ever have any of the issues that I mentioned.
There's no doubt that I'll keep it in mind. I'm pushing 80, so some or all of those issues may well be in my future, just not yet.

I have been in the camp of not using lube for resizing of pistol cases, but I have made one exception. When resizing 9mm with a Lee APP, cases will get stuck in the Lee X-Press shell holder when pulling the case out of the die.

Lee recommends using a lube when resizing 9mm with the Lee APP, and yes, it is necessary and it makes resizing so much easier.

I've had good luck with Hornady Unique for pistol. It needs to be removed before loading, but I resize independently of other operations.
I do the same. I normally lightly lube every 10th piece of brass when using carbide dies. After sizing a batch I tumble them in corn cob to remove the lube. I don't get in a hurry, there is always other things to do while tumblers are running.

I have owned VWs (2), Triumphs (2), MGs (2), Iso (1), Chevys (4), Volvos (2), Chrysler (1), Hondas (3), Subaru (1), Toyota (1), but never, ever, never a Ford. Never!

And I lube only via dry tumbling in corn cob media for the sole purpose of extra shine after wet tumbling. And occasionally Flitz. That it also lubes is a benefit, but not a goal.
